I Loved This Film
Steven Greenstreet's This Divided State a documentary that chronicled what happened when Michael Moore was invited to speak at Utah Valley State College in in largely Republican Orem, Utah right before the 2004 election and how outraged locals reacted. There are so many funny things about this film (I won't write about them because I don't want to give away any spoilers). See the film.
Quick observations about the film: Sean Vreeland, an student anti-Moore petitioner, reminded me of Don, Napoleon Dynamite's jock nemesis. . .Sean Hannity is in the film and shows what a man of the people he is. . .
Addendum: other films I have seen recently that I liked:
1. Todd Rohol's short Knuckleface Jones. You can watch it Atom Films.
2. To Be or Not To Be (the original by Lubitsch, not the Mel Brooks remake).
3. Ball of Fire (written by Charles Brackett and Billy Wilder).
4. Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 So bad that's it's good. Roger Ebert said the film is "like taking a bus trip with someone who has needed a bath for a long time. It's not merely bad; it's unpleasant in a hostile way."
