The Bozells: The America-Hating Family From Hell
I was doing a little research for my forthcoming Sun Myung Moon post and I discovered something interesting. My research included reading Inquisition: The Persecution and Prosecution of the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, Carlton Sherwood's attempt to shill for the demented cult leader. The book is a complete literary fraud in which Sherwood posed as an independent journalist but the book's manuscript was reviewed by Moonie operatives (True to form, after shilling for the virulently America-hating would-be messiah, Sherwood created the fraudulent film Stolen Honor which smeared a true American war hero John Kerry--click here for my confrontation of Fox News Democrat Tammy Bruce).

In the acknowledgements section of the book, Sherwood thanked Patrica Bozell. Patricia Bozell is the wife of L Brent Bozell, Jr. who wrote the pro-McCarthy book (with William F. Buckley) McCarthy and his Enemies. Her crotchfruit is L. Brent Bozell III, the head of the Scaife-funded Media Research Center who honored the Swift Boat Liars who denigrated Kerry's war record. This is not surprising, Bozell is a member of the board of advisors for the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights which refused to condemn the virulently bigoted statements against Catholics by Jerome Corsi, the co-author of the anti-Kerry book Unfit for Command.

The truth of the matter is if one were forced to choose, let's say by Martians, of morphing into either Dick Cheney or John Kerry, well, I think the planet would have an inordinate number of Cheneys running around. How do I know this? One word--ketchup, to say nothing of our preferences for dignity, honesty and a commitment to family and country. This as opposed to the self-absorption that leads to re-enacting battlefield scenes for the camera, allegedly shooting a Vietnamese in the back, accepting a Purple Heart for a "wound" dressed by a band-aid, pretending to throw your medals over a fence while keeping the ribbons, and voting for something before you vote against it.

No wonder he's complaining about Lieberman and, by proxy, Cheney. It's irritating to have men around who, by simple counterpoint, illustrate what you've never been and will never be. Like, perhaps, president one day.
